Deichlauf

The Deichlauf in Hohnstorf/Elbe offers a varied running programme with races for children and teenagers, an Olympic school relay, and 5 km and 10 km races. The event is sanctioned by the German Athletics Association and welcomes runners of all ages and ability levels. The scenic course follows the dike and offers a sporting challenge in a family-friendly atmosphere. Special and team classifications add to the excitement of the competition.

Showers are not available. Medical services will be stationed at the finish and along the course. Late entries are possible online until 11 June 2026 and on the day of the event until 1 hour before the respective start. Photos and videos will be taken by a commissioned service provider and may be published. The Deichlauf in Greven drew over 800 participants in June 2026, with distances from 2 km to 10 km, including climbs, and suitable for all age groups. The event is a community event with a particular focus on families and nature lovers.
