Burgwald Märchen Marathon

The Burgwald Märchen Marathon in Rauschenberg is a varied running event with distances for an ultramarathon, marathon, half marathon, 3/4 marathon, fun runs and a costume run. The event offers a well-organized course with refreshments, timing and medals for all finishers. Bib pickup takes place the day before, and the races start from 8:00 a.m. The event is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to enjoy the race in a fairytale setting.

A maximum of 1111 entries are available across all races. Bib pickup is on 29.08.2026 from 17:00 to 19:00 at the Rauschenberg sports hall. Late registration is available on 29.08. from 17:00 to 19:00 and on 30.08. until one hour before the respective start, subject to late entry fees (€3 for the ultra, marathon and half marathon; €2 for other races). All finishers who reach the finish by 16:00 receive a medal. Certificates can be printed online or collected in the finish area. The start and finish are close to the sports hall and outdoor swimming pool in Rauschenberg. The course runs mostly through the forest, partly on paved paths; refreshments are available every 5±2 km; dogs are allowed.
