Burgwald Märchen Marathon

The Burgwald Fairy Tale Marathon in Rauschenberg is a diverse running event with courses for ultra marathon, marathon, half marathon, three-quarter marathon, fun runs, and costume runs. The event offers a well-organized race route with refreshments, timing, and medals for all finishers. The bib number distribution takes place the day before, and the races start from 8:00 a.m. The event is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to enjoy the race in a fairy-tale environment.

Maximum 1111 starting places for all races. Bib number distribution on August 29, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the sports hall Rauschenberg. Late registrations are possible on August 29 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on August 30 until one hour before the respective start, with late registration fees (€3 for ultra, marathon, half marathon; €2 for other races). All finishers who reach the finish line by 4:00 p.m. will receive a medal. Certificates can be printed online or collected at the finish area. Start and finish are located near the sports hall and outdoor pool in Rauschenberg. The course mostly runs through the forest, partly on paved paths; refreshments every 5±2 km; dogs allowed.
