Böckstiegellauf

The Böckstiegellauf is a scenic race through the Teutoburg Forest and the Ravensberg Hills, starting at Peter auf’m Berge in Bielefeld and finishing in Werther town centre. Routes of 18 km and 10 km are offered, along with a 2.5 km student race. Part of the course follows the Hermannslauf route and passes the Böckstiegelhaus and the Böckstiegel Museum. The event is very well organised, with a bus shuttle from the finish to the start and an awards ceremony in the centre of Werther.

The start is at Peter auf’m Berge and the finish is at Venghauss-Platz in Werther. Buses to the start leave from Werther bus station from 12:00. Late entries are possible at Venghauss-Platz on the event day from 11:00 to 13:00, subject to remaining places. Most of the course is in good condition; the section at the 18/10 km route split at kilometre 3.7 is very gravelly. The routes pass through nature and the town. Registration is already open, with bus transport to the start. There is no parking at the start, and late entries are subject to availability.
