Aschauer Vorsilvesterlauf

The Aschau New Year's Eve Run is a popular running event in Aschau in the Chiemgau region, organized since 2009 by the Verein Lauffeuer Chiemgau e.V. and the Gewerbeverein Aschau e.V. With a flat and fast 5 km course through the town center and a children's run over 1.7 km, the race offers an attractive event for both hobby and competitive runners. The event is known as South Bavaria's biggest running party between the years and attracts numerous participants and spectators annually. Besides sporting ambition, community and fun are also in the foreground, supported by a diverse accompanying program and an afterrun party.

Race bib distribution on December 27, 2025 from 5 PM at Chalet Aschau. Loan chips for timing will be issued and must be returned by 9 PM, otherwise a fee of €30 applies. In the finish area, there will be mulled wine (also non-alcoholic), gingerbread, and stollen. Every finisher receives an edible medal. After the night run, there will be an award ceremony and afterrun party at the chalet. Parking is available at the festival hall, tourist information, sports hall, and train station. Changing rooms and toilets are available at the Red Cross home and train station. 5 km run, children's run, community event, held annually on December 28, festive atmosphere, medals and refreshments included.
