Aschauer Vorsilvesterlauf

The Aschauer Year-End Run is a popular running event in Aschau im Chiemgau, organised since 2009 by Lauffeuer Chiemgau e.V. and Gewerbeverein Aschau e.V. With a flat, fast 5 km course through the town centre and a 1.7 km children’s run, the event offers an attractive race for both recreational and competitive runners. Known as Southern Bavaria’s biggest running party between Christmas and New Year, it attracts numerous participants and spectators every year. Alongside sporting ambition, community and fun are also at the heart of the event, supported by a varied programme and an after-run party.

Race number collection on 27.12.2025 from 5 pm at Chalet Aschau. Timing chips are available to borrow and must be returned by 9 pm; otherwise, a €30 fee applies. Mulled wine (including a non-alcoholic option), gingerbread and stollen are available in the finish area. Every finisher receives an edible medal. An awards ceremony and after-run party take place at Chalet after the night run. Parking is available at the Festhalle, Tourist Information, sports hall and railway station.
