Alfelder Bernd Meyer Staffelmarathon

The Alfeld Bernd Meyer Relay Marathon is a long-standing relay marathon taking place on June 14, 2026, in Alfeld (Leine). The event is open to runners from across the region and is jointly organized by several local running clubs and the City of Alfeld. The course is an approximately 3 km loop, run twice, with the start and finish on the market square. Each team consists of 7 runners, who must be registered by name. Timing is electronic, using single-use transponders. There is also a children’s run of approximately 700 m.

Each relay team consists of 7 people, who must be registered by name and run in the order specified on the day of the event. Bib numbers are personalized and equipped with single-use transponders for electronic timing. Participants may keep their bib numbers as souvenirs. A maximum of 80 teams may take part. The children’s run starts at 10:30 a.m. for girls and 10:45 a.m. for boys, over approximately 700 m. The marathon is known for its community atmosphere, including preparation and training sessions, and is a major event in the regional running calendar.
