Alfelder Bernd Meyer Staffelmarathon

The Alfeld Bernd-Meyer Relay Marathon is a traditional relay marathon taking place on June 14, 2026, in Alfeld (Leine). The event is aimed at runners from the entire region and is organized jointly by several local running clubs and the city of Alfeld. The course is approximately a 3 km loop, run twice, starting and finishing at the marketplace. Each team consists of 7 runners who must be registered by name, and timing is done electronically with disposable transponders. In addition to the relay marathon, there is also a children's run of about 700 meters.

Each relay team consists of 7 persons, who must be registered by name and adhere to the order on the day of the event. The starting numbers are personalized and equipped with disposable transponders for electronic timing. Participants can keep their bib numbers as souvenirs. A maximum of 80 teams can participate. The children's run starts at 10:30 a.m. (girls) and 10:45 a.m. (boys) over approximately 700 meters. The marathon is known for its community atmosphere, including preparatory and training sessions, and is a significant event in the regional running calendar.
