Race description

The Brocken Run is Germany's oldest mountain race and has been held annually since 1927 in Ilsenburg in the Harz. The main course over 26.2 km features 890 meters of elevation gain to the highest mountain in northern Germany, the Brocken, and offers a challenging experience with variable high-altitude mountain climate at the summit. The route passes through picturesque nature, historic sites, and offers impressive views. In addition to the main race, there are shorter courses that also provide a natural experience. The event is open to all runners, regardless of club membership.

Additional information

Timing at multiple points along the 26.2 km route via SPORTident Timing. The course is challenging with steep sections up to 12.5% incline and concrete slabs at the summit. The event is open to runners and hikers. The organizer reserves the right to change the course if conditions on the Brocken become unreasonable. Registrations are already possible, with various course lengths including ultra and running events, as well as a book flea market and exclusive running shirts.
