27. Gläserner Mönch Lauf

The Gläserner Mönch Run is a traditional trail race in the Harz foothills, returning after a seven-year break. The course is known for its undulating profile, with more than 100 metres of elevation gain per lap, and the legendary climb up 222 steps to the “Gläserner Mönch.” Participants can choose from various distances, from the Bambini Run to the 18 km Extreme Run, and experience unspoilt nature among rocks and forest. The event combines a sporting challenge with a love of the local area and takes place around the Landhotel Schäferhof in Halberstadt.

Start and finish at the Landhotel Schäferhof in Halberstadt OT Langenstein. Electronic timing with a transponder (€5 deposit). Late registrants do not receive the full race pack. Awards ceremony from approximately 12:15 p.m.; children’s races immediately afterwards. Minimum age and participation requirements apply. Limited places available; various race distances; nature trail with elevation gain.
