21. Fun-Run

The 21st Maisel’s FunRun takes place on 10 May 2026 in Bayreuth and is a fixture on the regional running calendar. The event attracts more than 4,000 running enthusiasts each year, from beginners to ambitious athletes. Various distances are offered for adults, including a half marathon, quarter marathon and 5 km run, as well as several children’s races with no entry fee. The finish takes runners straight onto the festival grounds of Maisel’s Weissbierfest, where they can celebrate with live music and freshly tapped Maisel’s Weisse. The varied, mostly flat course passes some of Bayreuth’s most beautiful spots and creates a fantastic atmosphere.

Race packs are sent by post in advance. An official FunRun shirt from Bayreuth sports brand CEP’s collection can be purchased as an optional extra. There is no entry fee for the children’s races (U12, U10, U8, U6). The FunRun is part of Maisel’s Weissbierfest, which takes place from 7 to 10 May 2026. Distances: half marathon, quarter marathon, 5 km; children’s races (U12, U10, U8, U6); early-bird discount until 6 December 2025; start in Bayreuth; flat, varied course; part of the Weissbierfest.
