19. Burger-Rolandlauf

The Burger Roland Run is a traditional race that normally takes place in Burg and is jointly organized by Rolandgymnasium Burg and LG Ihleläufer Burg. The course runs through the town along the Ihle, through the forest and past the Bismarck Tower, finishing in the school courtyard. Alongside the competition, participants can enjoy a varied supporting program with music, activities for children and refreshments. In 2026, the event in Burg was canceled because the necessary permit was not granted; a replacement event will instead take place in Tangerhütte Town Park.
