Race description
The 18th Osterode Stage Marathon divides the classic marathon distance of 42.195 km into seven enjoyable after-work stages of 5 to 7 kilometres each. The races follow circular routes through the beautiful countryside around Osterode in the Harz foothills. The event starts in Förste on Sunday, 21 June 2026, with a new stage each day through Saturday, 27 June 2026. Walkers and Nordic walkers are also warmly welcome. There is also a 750-metre kids’ stage on 27 June in Schützenpark.

Stage start times: Sunday, 21 June 2026 at 10:45, Monday to Friday at 18:45 each day, and Saturday, 27 June 2026 at 16:00. Awards ceremony on Saturday at 18:00, with a prize draw for non-cash prizes. Open to runners, walkers and Nordic walkers. No club membership required. Minors need written parental consent. 7 stages, 5–7 km per stage, medical support, free drinks, commemorative gift, marathon certificate, no club membership required
