Race description
The Osterode Stage Marathon is a unique marathon held in seven enjoyable after-work stages of 5 to 7 kilometres each around Osterode am Harz. The fourth stage runs through the beautiful Beber nature reserve in Schwiegershausen, with varied paths of gravel, concrete and grass. The start and finish are at Schwiegershausen Sports Hall, and the route offers a great view of the Harz as well as a mix of gentle and steep sections. The race is open to anyone physically able to run about 7 kilometres without stopping, and promotes a sense of community among regional clubs.

Additional information
The awards ceremony takes place on Saturday, 27 June 2026 at 18:00, with a raffle of prizes. The 750 m Kids’ Stage is offered on 27 June 2026. The event is jointly organised by seven regional clubs.
