Race description
The New Year's Eve Run at Leine in Hanover is a popular year-end race that traditionally starts at 1:00 PM on December 31st. The event features a 7.7 km loop course mainly on asphalted paths along the Leine, through the Steintormasch, to the Wasserkunst, and back along the Ihme. The race is organized by the Hanover Cycling Club (HRC), Bladerunner, and Trimindous UG and is characterized by a family-friendly atmosphere with mulled wine and bratwurst after the race. Every finisher receives a wheat beer glass designed in the event's style as a memento. In addition to the race, there is also a walking category, making it attractive for various participants.
