X-MAS Trail

The X-MAS Trail in Weiskirchen is a challenging winter trail run through the picturesque landscape of the Hunsrück-Hochwald Nature Park. Three demanding courses with singletrack trails and technical sections lead through moss-covered forests, over small bridges and past rock formations. Participants need suitable equipment and experience handling winter conditions, as runners are self-sufficient. The course is marked with flagging tape and spray chalk, and there is a course briefing before the run. This is not a road race, but a genuine trail run with strict cutoff times.

Mandatory equipment is required, especially for the longer distances. The course will be confirmed shortly before the race and made available to download. The longer distances are part of the ITRA National League Challenge. Cutoff times are strictly enforced, and sweepers may remove very slow participants from the race. The event is not suitable for walkers. Aid stations are available on the longer distances. A headlamp is recommended and mandatory for the long distance. Winter trails, technical sections, no walkers permitted, mandatory equipment required, course changes possible, no dogs allowed.
