Wehratallauf

The Wehratallauf is a long-standing running event held every September in Wehr since 1990. It offers various races for all age groups, including a 10.2 km main race, 8.6 km Nordic walking, a 2.87 km schoolchildren’s race and a 750 m children’s race. The courses run directly past the Frankenmatt Stadium and through the surrounding area. The event has a particular charitable focus, with part of the entry fees donated to the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Freiburg e.V.

Late registration is possible up to 1 hour before the respective start (except for the children’s race) for an additional fee of €5. Electronic timing uses transponders integrated into the bib numbers. Changing and shower facilities are available. There is a team competition and special prizes for clubs with the most participants. Parking is limited, particularly on Industriestraße. The event takes place on 13 September 2026, with online registration, transponder bib numbers, prizes for the fastest runners and course-record prizes. Donations are also collected for children with cancer.
