Weezer Staffellauf

The Weeze relay race has been held in Weeze in mid-September each year since 1985 and has become a popular relay event, with up to 250 teams taking part. The course follows a scenic 5 km loop along the Niers hiking trail. The event offers various relay categories, including Bambini, school, and regular relays, and attracts runners of all ages. The athletics department of TSV Weeze organizes the event with great dedication and looks forward to welcoming many participants in 2026.

The 40th Weeze relay race will take place on 26 September 2026. The race announcement and registration will follow at the end of July. The event has attracted up to 250 relay teams. The 38th Weeze relay race in 2024 had 32 Bambini teams, 36 school relay teams, and 55 regular relay teams cross the finish line. Participants can register online until the end of July 2026; the event also includes school and community competitions, as well as on-site refreshments.
