Weezer Sommerabendlauf

The Weezer Sommerabendlauf is a popular running event held annually since 2019 in Vittinghoff-Schell-Park in Weeze. After cancellations due to the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the race is once again attracting large numbers of participants, with over 380 starters in 2025. The event offers various race distances, including children’s and youth races, and starts on June 26, 2026, at 5 p.m. Timing is provided by a chip attached to the race bib, and attractive prizes are awarded to clubs with the most finishers.

Registration closes on June 24, 2026, at midnight. Online registration is via raceresult, with payment by SEPA direct debit. Late entries can be paid for in cash or by card on site. Race bibs with chips must be returned on the day of the event; the €3 chip deposit will be refunded. There are no changing rooms or showers; toilets are available in the Bürgerhaus. Eight tickets to the 1Live San Hejmo Festival will be awarded to the club with the most adult finishers (excluding TSV Weeze). The race takes place in Vittinghoff-Schell-Park. Online registration is available; late entries are accepted on site up to 45 minutes before the start. Start times are between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
