Wangener Altstadtlauf

The Wangener Altstadtlauf has been a fixture on the event calendar in Wangen im Allgäu for over 25 years. The races take place in the historic old town, with its narrow lanes, cobblestones and large market square, creating a unique atmosphere. Alongside the main race, there are Bambini and schoolchildren’s races, as well as the “Wangener Stolperer,” where participants can run as many laps as possible in 30 minutes. The event welcomes both experienced competitive runners and recreational athletes, and promotes a shared sporting experience in the town centre.

The “Wangener Stolperer” is a 30-minute run in which each participant decides how many laps to complete within the allotted time. Bambini and schoolchildren’s races are also held alongside the main race. The event is open to all ages and ability levels. It includes races for children, schoolchildren and recreational runners, with distances ranging from 0.46 km to 5.19 km. The “Wangener Stolperer” is a special highlight, challenging participants to run as many laps as possible in 30 minutes. The event fosters community spirit and enthusiasm for sport in the historic old town.
