Volkswandertag

The Volkswandertag in Bollensen is an annual event held on the last Sunday in July, open to hiking enthusiasts of all ages. A range of family-friendly routes is offered, following forest trails through the beautiful Solling region. The marathon and half-marathon hikes are loop courses starting and finishing at the TSV Bollensen sports clubhouse. All routes are marked and have refreshment stations. The event has a relaxed atmosphere, with food and drinks in the finish area and a strong sense of community.

Participant limit: 400. Refreshments along the routes (3 stations on the marathon and 2 on the half-marathon), plus coffee and cold drinks at the start, one complimentary drink and a food voucher at the finish. On-site late registration is available up to one hour before the start, with a €5 late registration fee. Hiking routes of 3, 7, 12 and 42 km; registration by 29.05.2026; participant limit of 400; refreshments and drinks included; special stamp on 27 July 2025 for €3.
