Volkslauf Um die Taakener Ähren

The “Um die Taakener Ähren” fun run is a family-friendly and popular running event in Taaken, taking place on 21 August 2026. The event offers various races for all age groups, from the Bambini run through the schoolchildren’s and jogger runs to the competitive 10 km main race and a relay. The course runs through Taaken and its picturesque fields of grain, with fun and community at the heart of the event. All participants receive pastries at the finish, and the winners are awarded traditional winner’s loaves. The village provides refreshments and drink stands, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Late entries are possible up to one hour before the start of the respective race for an additional €2. Changing rooms and showers are available in the Taaken sports hall. Parking is located behind the sports hall. Water, fruit and pastries are provided, and there are also snack and drink stands. All runners in the main, relay and jogger races can enter a raffle held after the main race awards ceremony. Various race categories, team relay, children’s and youth races, refreshments on site.
