Volksbank-Münster-Marathon

The Volksbank-Münster-Marathon is a major running event organized by runners for runners, largely by volunteers and with great dedication. With around 12,000 participants, more than 300 artists and bands, and over 100,000 spectators along the course, this autumn marathon offers a unique atmosphere. The course is almost entirely flat and runs through the running- and cycling-friendly city of Münster. A red carpet is rolled out in the finish area on Prinzipalmarkt, making the finish a special experience.

The marathon is part of a major event featuring several races, including the Atruvia Staffelmarathon, Wecker-28 (28 km), Stadtwerke-Kids Marathon, Westfalen AG Charity-Lauf (10 km), and H+B technics-Gesundheitslauf (6 km). There is a combined ranking with the Enschede Marathon. The marathon office is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 to 15:00. The marathon attracts around 12,000 runners, offers qualification opportunities for other races, and is supported by numerous sponsors. There are also accompanying events such as talks and health seminars.
