Vogelsberger Südbahnlauf

The Vogelsberger Südbahnlauf will be held for the 21st time on 19 July 2026, organised by Lauftreff Unterreichenbach. The event offers runners of all ages and ability levels a varied running experience on well-marked routes along the paved Vogelsberger Südbahn cycle path and surfaced forest and field paths. The races range from a children’s fun run to schoolchildren’s races and 5 km runs, up to the half marathon. The team places great importance on a relaxed and sporting atmosphere, supported by refreshment stations and chip-free timing.

Timing is chip-free. The start and finish are at 310 m above sea level, and the highest point of the course is at 460 m above sea level. The races start in staggered intervals between 09:00 and 09:35. Late entries are possible up to 30 minutes before the respective start, with a €2 late-entry fee (except for the schoolchildren’s and children’s fun runs). Refreshment stations every 2.5 km provide mineral water, apple spritzer and damp sponges. Routes follow the cycle path and forest paths. Water stations, changing rooms and showers are available on site, and parking is available.
