Vogelsberger Südbahnlauf

The Vogelsberg South Railway Run will be held for the 21st time on July 19, 2026, organized by the Unterreichenbach Running Club. The event offers runners of all ages and performance levels a varied running experience on well-marked routes that lead over the paved Vogelsberg South Railway Cycle Path as well as paved forest and field paths. The races range from a toddler run, school runs, and 5 km races to the half marathon. The team places great importance on a relaxed and sporty atmosphere, supported by refreshment stations and timing without chips.

Timing is chipless. Start and finish are at 310 meters above sea level, with the highest point of the course at 460 meters above sea level. Races start in staggered groups between 09:00 and 09:35 AM. Late registrations are possible up to 30 minutes before the respective start, with a late registration fee of 2 euros (except for children and toddler runs). Refreshment stations are located every 2.5 km with mineral water, apple spritz, and damp sponges. The routes run on cycle paths and forest paths, with water stations, changing rooms, and showers on site, and parking is available.
