Tag des Laufens

The Day of Running is a nationwide running event in Germany, taking place for the fifth time on June 3, 2026. Under the motto #gemeinsammehrbewegen, all running enthusiasts are invited to run together and collect donations for the healthy movement of children and adolescents. The event is initiated by German Road Races e.V. and the German Athletics Association and supported by DATEV. There are no fixed routes or start times; participants can join individually or in groups at a location of their choice or organize their own event. The funds raised will go to Plan International Germany to support sports clubs and the training of coaches.

Free race numbers can be downloaded online as a PDF and printed. Participants can post photos or videos with the hashtag #tagdeslaufens on Instagram and participate in prize draws. There is a competition with a prize money of 1,000 euros for teams engaged in social activities. Donations of 15 euros or more enable participation in a VIP trip to the German Athletics Championships 2026.
