SÜDTHÜRINGENTRAIL

The SÜDTHÜRINGENTRAIL is a friendly trail run in the beautiful surroundings of Suhl, celebrating its anniversary edition on September 12, 2026. The course leads through partly winding paths away from the main artery of the Thuringian Forest, past clear streams, dark valleys, and shimmering mountain ridges. The event offers an unforgettable nature experience with spectacular views and is part of the SÜHLER BÜCHSEN CUP. All finishers of the longer distances receive ITRA-/UTMB® qualification points.

Pasta party on the evening before, starter bag, course and finish line refreshments, tracking for position determination, medical emergency services provided by mountain rescue, finisher shirt, finisher medal, finisher surprise gift, finisher certificate (online printout), winner trophies for the top three women and men in each trail category, age group classifications, ITRA-/UTMB® qualification points for Riesentrail and Heldentrail, free parking and showers, maximum number of starters per distance (Wichteltrail 344, Riesentrail 177, Heldentrail 199), no on-site late registration possible, Wichteltrail start at 10:30 AM by the patron André Knapp, Mayor of Suhl, breakfast from 4:00 AM at the start and finish area optional, award ceremonies from 3:00 PM. The event offers cultural and scenic highlights, including course profiles, GPX downloads, and detailed information about the individual trails.
