Suderburger Abendlauf

The Suderburger Evening Run is a recreational sports event for the whole family, held annually in June in Suderburg since 2022. The routes pass through heathland and the surrounding forests of the Lüneburg Heath on sandy, all-weather forest and farm tracks. Alongside traditional individual races, there is also a 3 x 1.9 km relay. The start and finish are at the sports ground on Tannrähm, and the event is attracting increasing numbers of participants.

There are seven races ranging from 500 m to 20 km for various age groups. Late entries are accepted on race day until 30 minutes before the start, subject to a €4.00 late-entry fee. Changing and shower facilities are available at the start/finish. Refreshments include drinks at the finish and drink stations on the longer routes. This is not a traditional athletics event, but a recreational sports event for all age groups. Races take place on wooded, hilly paths in the Lüneburg Heath; online registration; changing and shower facilities available; refreshments at the finish; an event that is not weather-dependent.
