Sparkassen SAARathon

The Sparkassen SAARathon 2026 takes place on October 11 in Saarbrücken and offers suitable challenges for runners of all performance levels. The flat and fast courses run along the Saar River, offering magnificent views of Saarbrücken city and the diverse surroundings. In addition to the traditional 10 km Westspangenlauf, there is a young World Heritage Marathon, which will be held for the third time and leads runners to the Völklinger Hütte. The running event combines sporting challenge with scenic beauty and regional culture.

The event includes various distances: Marathon (with state championships), half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and 1 km school run. The event is suitable for experienced runners and beginners.
