Race description
The Sparkassen Alb Marathon Schwäbisch Gmünd is a traditional ultramarathon that has been held annually since 1991 in the golden October. The course covers 50 kilometers with 1100 meters of elevation gain over the Three Kaiserberge Hohenstaufen, Rechberg, and Stuifen through breathtaking scenery. In addition to the main race, there are other competitions such as the Alb Ultra with approximately 60 km, the Alb Trail with 37 km, a 25 km run, 10 km run & walk, and a children's run. The event offers a sporting spectacle for the whole family and a varied supporting program with lectures, briefings, and a pasta party.

Additional information
Start at all races (except Alb Trail) in Schwerzerallee at the height of the Großsporthalle. Competition center in the Großsporthalle Schwäbisch Gmünd. Electronic timing with transponder in the bib (no Champion Chip). Medal for races over 25 km included; medals for other races can be ordered online for €5. Return transport with local buses and special buses for participants with bib numbers. Supporting program on Friday evening with lectures, briefing, and pasta party (€7 contribution for food). Round course over the Kaiserberge, refreshment stations, relay and team competitions, award ceremonies, bib with RFID transponder.
