Sengbachtalsperrenlauf

The Sengbach Dam Run is a traditional scenic race around the Sengbach Dam near Leichlingen-Witzhelden. The three main distances lead over well-maintained forest paths and a paved section along the dam wall, with a loop of approximately 9.8 km and about 200 meters of elevation gain per lap. The course is vehicle-free and runs within a landscape conservation area. For families, there is a separate race with shorter distances in the vicinity of the event grounds. The event offers refreshments along the route and showers in the nearby town of Kuhle.

Race documents will be issued on the day of the event from 7:30 AM at the registration tent. Showers are available in a school in the neighboring town of Kuhle and are signposted. Refreshments with bananas, water, ISO, and cola are available approximately every 5 km, with free tea and bananas at the finish. Certificates can be downloaded online. The course is vehicle-free with two refreshment stations on the loop. A donation campaign for the Leverkusen Children's Hospice is being conducted. The route runs on forest paths, no roads, donations for the children's hospice are possible, registration until the day of the event, late registration fee of €5 from August 11, 2026.
