Schackenslebener Hopfenlauf

The Schackensleben Hopfenlauf is a long-standing running event in Schackensleben, about 25 km west of Magdeburg in the Börde district. All races start and finish at the sports field. Distances include 400 m for children, 1.4 km for young people, and 6.0 km and 10.8 km for adults. The longer routes pass through the village and the surrounding countryside, with the gently rolling profile typical of the Börde region, along roads and paved farm tracks. Refreshments include drinks, coffee, cake, and grilled food. After the finish, there is a raffle with attractive prizes. The Hopfenlauf is part of the Novo Nordisk Landescup and the Elbe-Ohre-Cup.

The 0.4 km and 1.4 km races take place on the running track and in the immediate vicinity. After finishing, participants receive drinks and fruit for refreshment. The clubhouse at the sports field offers a generous selection of coffee, cake, lard sandwiches, drinks, and grilled food. A raffle with attractive prizes traditionally takes place alongside the awards ceremony. Multiple distances, online registration, changing rooms, showers, refreshments, and a raffle. Supports the German athletics system through official timekeeping.
