Race description

Around Ennepetal is an annual recreational sports event held on the last Sunday of August, combining running, hiking, and walking along the 60 km long Ennepetal circular trail in five stages. The route passes through diverse nature with stunning views of the Bergisches Land, reservoirs, and historic sites. The event is suitable for all performance levels and offers guided groups for runners and walkers as well as independent hikers. The stages are scenic and feature cultural highlights as well as challenging sections. After the race, participants can access their results and certificates online.

Additional information

Late registration on the day of the event is possible for a fee until 30 minutes before the start. The start and finish point is the sports facility of Rot-Weiß Rüggeberg e.V. Organized bus transfers to the start points of stages 2 to 5 and back are provided. The cut-off time is 8:30 PM. Runners and walkers are accompanied in groups with local guides, and hikers receive GPX data for self-guided tours. Results and certificates are available online. The event includes multiple stages with a challenging route, including bus transfers between start points and refreshment stations at transfer points. Participation is open to all, with various disciplines and a family-friendly atmosphere.
