Rothaarwaldlauf

The Rothaar Forest Run organized by TSV Aue-Wingeshausen is a popular, scenic forest run in the Rothaar Mountains, taking place on 3 October 2026. The event offers a range of distances, including loop courses and point-to-point routes, appealing to both competitive athletes and recreational runners. The races are part of the Rothaar-Laufserie AOK-Cup, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The course passes through beautiful woodland with moderate climbs. Excellent refreshments and bus transfers to the start points of the longer routes are provided.

Start times vary by distance; for example, the main race starts at 13:30. A bus transfer runs from the Aue-Wingeshausen gymnasium to the start points of the longer routes (15km and 28km). Race packs can be collected at various locations until shortly before the start. Showers and changing facilities are available at the gymnasium. Late entries are possible at the start points until 30 minutes before the start. The event is part of the Rothaar-Laufserie AOK-Cup, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Participants can enjoy shuttle bus transport and refreshments including cake, waffles and fries, as well as an established tradition on the running calendar.
