Race description
The 41st Pönitzer Volkslauf will take place on July 12, 2026, in Pönitz and invites runners, walkers, and Nordic walkers to a sporty and social event. The course leads through the charming landscape of Holsteinische Schweiz with romantic hedgerows, summer fields, and peaceful meadows. At Sportpark Pönitz, participants can expect a friendly atmosphere with refreshments, show performances, and an award ceremony. All participants will receive a commemorative medal, and there are attractive prizes for the winners.

All participants receive a commemorative medal. The award ceremony begins at 11:15 AM with medals for overall winners (places 1-3) and trophies as well as certificates for age group winners and placers. Members of SVG Pönitz pay half of the entry fee. The event offers refreshments, show performances, and a friendly atmosphere for athletes, companions, and spectators. Runners can choose between half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and Nordic walking; start times from 8:30 AM; community and nature experience.
