Oberlichtenauer Sommerlauf

The 44th Oberlichtenauer Summer Run will take place on June 27, 2026, and invites runners of all ages to a sporting event that has brought together the Saxon running community and guests from near and far for over four decades. The day begins with children's races over 800 meters and 2.2 kilometers for the age groups U12 and U14. Following this are the popular sport run over approximately 5 kilometers and the challenging main race over 13 kilometers, which tests endurance and agility with steep climbs and fast descents over Keulenberg. The running group of the Oberlichtenau Sports Community looks forward to welcoming all participants.

The event day starts with the children's race at 09:45 AM, followed by a new children's race for U12 and U14 at 09:55 AM. The award ceremony takes place immediately after the children's races. The popular sport run begins at 10:25 AM, and the main race starts at 10:30 AM. The running group is led by Patrick Thomschke (department head) and Jens Schäfer (manager).
