Neudorfer Fichtelberglauf mit LM Berglauf

The Neudorf Fichtelberg Run is a challenging 9.4-kilometre mountain race with 550 metres of elevation gain, held annually in Sehmatal in the Ore Mountains since 1987. It is considered the toughest mountain race in Saxony and attracts both professional and amateur athletes. The race starts at the Neudorf Spindle Factory and finishes on the Fichtelberg summit plateau. The event includes an open state mountain-running championship and offers a free shuttle service for the return journey.

Race bibs can be collected from 9:00 to 10:30 at the Spindle Factory festival tent. Late entries are accepted only on the event day until 10:30 and are subject to a late-entry fee. Free shuttle bus for the return journey from the Fichtelberg to the start. Baggage transport (maximum one bag/backpack per runner). Changing rooms and showers available on site. Medical services provided by the Oberwiesenthal Mountain Rescue Service. Lunch catering by the German Red Cross (requested). Sports equipment is not permitted, and there is no Nordic walking category. Registration opens in spring 2026. Shuttle service, baggage transport, awards ceremony in the festival tent, parking at the start and train station.
