MOUNTAINMAN Reit im Winkl

MOUNTAINMAN Reit im Winkl is a challenging trail-running event in the Chiemgau Alps, offering five distances from 11 to 73 kilometres. The routes pass through impressive mountain scenery, with highlights including ski jumps, the idyllic Klausenbach Gorge, alpine pastures and Dürrnbachhorn, and breathtaking views as far as the Wilder Kaiser. The event is open to trail runners from beginners to professionals, although the longer routes are suitable only for experienced runners. Special routes are available for hikers, and dogs are also allowed on the shorter routes. The event has a family-friendly atmosphere, with an expo, Kids’ Trail, Community Trail and a pasta party on the eve of the race.

Start and finish at the Festsaal, Tiroler Straße 37, Reit im Winkl. Travel by train is recommended for environmental reasons. Parking is available in town, a 5–10-minute walk away; parking is free for overnight guests staying in Reit im Winkl. Dogs are allowed on the S and M routes. Entries with dogs are sold out; a waiting list is available. Flexi Ticket options, which allow cancellation up to 30 or 2 days before the event, can be purchased for an additional fee. Race packs will be sent by post approximately 4 weeks before the race. The day before the event features an expo, Kids’ Trail, Community Trail with ALTRA, pre-race information and a pasta party. The awards ceremony takes place at 15:00 on race day. The event includes various trail-running and hiking routes, including Kids’ and Dogs’ Trails, with detailed information on registration, route profiles and terrain. The Winter Trail event in March offers distances from 10 to 42 km on snow-covered terrain, with support options.
