MidSummerRun 2026

The MidSummerRun 2026 takes place on June 19 in Hamburg and is being organised for the fifth time by Lauftreff Alstertal e.V. This sustainable running event offers three races: a children’s run of approx. 970 metres, a 5 km run and a 10 km run along the wild upper reaches of the Alster, one of Hamburg’s most beautiful running areas. The start and finish are on the lawn in front of Torhaus Wellingsbüttel, where a Future Fair featuring sustainability partners and a food truck will also be on hand. The MidSummerRun champions environmental protection and sustainability, and was awarded second place in the Hanse Environmental Prize.

The entry fee includes free travel to and from the event on the HVV. The participant limit is 200 for the children’s run and 600 across all races combined. Late registration is available from 10 June 2026 and on race day, provided the limit has not been reached. First aid is available on an outpatient basis in the finish area. Picnic blankets made from recycled advertising banners and a food truck will be available for a relaxed gathering after the race.
