MidSummerRun 2026

The MidSummerRun 2026 will take place on June 19th in Hamburg and is organized by Laufreff Alstertal e.V. for the fifth time. The sustainable running event offers three competitions: a children's run of approximately 970 meters, a 5 km run, and a 10 km run along the wild upper course of the Alster, one of Hamburg's most beautiful running areas. The start and finish are located on the meadow in front of the Wellingsbüttel gatehouse, where a future fair with sustainable partners and a food truck will ensure the catering. The MidSummerRun stands for environmental protection and sustainability and was awarded second place at the Hanse Environmental Prize.

The registration fee includes free transportation with HVV. There is a participant limit of 200 for the children's run and a total of 600 for all competitions combined. Late registrations are possible from June 10, 2026, and on the day of the event if the limit has not been reached. The event offers on-site first aid at the finish area. Recycled advertising banners are used for picnic blankets, and a food truck is available on-site for socializing after the run.
