Memminger Altstadtlauf

The Memmingen Old Town Run is a traditional race through the historic old town of Memmingen. The course is a flat, paved circuit approximately 1 km long, winding through the picturesque old town. The event is open to club, professional, and recreational runners and features professional chip timing using a transponder. The start and finish are on the Market Square, where the awards ceremony also takes place. All participants receive a high-quality towel as a souvenir.

Race bib pickup from 12:30 p.m. on the Market Square. Chip timing using a transponder attached to the race bib. The main race is ranked by net time; other events are ranked by gun time. Changing facilities and showers are available at the Bismarck-Elsbethenschule gym, St. Josefs Kirchplatz 3. Parking is available in the Stadthalle and Krautstraße parking garages. The event takes place in all weather conditions. Awards ceremonies are held on the Market Square from approximately 4:00 p.m. (individual runners) and 4:30 p.m. (company teams). Every participant receives a high-quality towel featuring the event logo as a souvenir. The top three finishers in each age group receive prizes; children receive certificates, and main-race podium finishers receive awards. Team competition for public authorities and company teams in the main race (5 participants per team, mixed male/female). Commentary and music by Andreas Schales of Hitradio RT1.
