Lauf zwischen den Meeren

The Run Between the Seas is a unique relay race that takes teams of participants from Husum on the North Sea to Damp on the Baltic Sea. The 92.2-kilometre course is divided into ten stages and takes runners through the varied landscapes of Schleswig-Holstein. Alongside individual performance, the teams’ collective effort is central to the event. The race connects not only the coasts but also the people of the region, offering a special running experience for recreational and elite athletes alike.

The race starts at the harbour in Husum (Schiffbrücke). The fastest teams take around 5 hours and 10 minutes and reach the finish at around 14:15. Race packs can be mailed or collected in person on certain days. A baggage transfer and bus shuttle are available. The event includes a pasta party and a runners’ party. The course has ten changeover points, with distances ranging from 6.9 to 11.5 kilometres.
