Kilometer für Kinder

Kilometer für Kids is an annual charity event launched in 2014 to support children and young people in need through sporting challenges. Participants clock up kilometres by running, cycling or swimming, then make a donation for each kilometre. The project promotes not only sport, but also social cohesion and the joy of being active. Its aim is to give children new hope after difficult experiences and to highlight the importance of physical activity in society.

Participants can put together their triathlon individually and take part as a team or relay. The kilometres clocked up are donated to a good cause. The event takes place in North Rhine-Westphalia, with the aim of holding an event in every German state in the future. Since 2014, the event has supported children's aid projects in Germany, raising almost €25,000 to date. It promotes physical activity for a good cause and takes place annually in Pronsfeld.
