Internationaler Stadtlauf Saarburg

The International Saarburg City Run takes place for the 11th time on July 3, 2026, offering runners a fast course through Saarburg’s picturesque town center. The route passes through the Old Town Tunnel, along the Saar and up to Kruterberg, with the start and finish at the former bus station near the leisure and indoor swimming pool. The event attracts around 800 participants each year and concludes with an awards ceremony on the Fruchtmarkt stage as part of the Saarburg Market Days. There are different distances for runners of all ages, from the Bambini Run to the 10 km main race.

There are several races: Bambini Run (0.5 km), Youth Run (1.8 km), Company and Fun Run (5.3 km), and Main Race (10 km). The fastest runners are honored at Saarburg Gymnasium. The event traditionally takes place on Saturday evening alongside the Saarburg Market Days. In addition to the running races, the event also offers team competitions for companies and is a social highlight of the Saarburg Market Days.
