The International Allgäu Volkslauf in Leutkirch has been held annually on Children's Festival Sunday since 1970 and has developed into a major sporting event with hundreds of runners from southern Germany and partner cities. Organized by the Skiläuferzunft of TSG 1847 Leutkirch e.V., the Volkslauf is supported by numerous volunteers, the DRK Leutkirch, the city administration, and other partners. The race is a traditional sporting custom in Leutkirch and offers a diverse event for runners of all performance levels.
