Höhlerfestlauf

The 11th Höhlerfestlauf on September 26, 2026, in Gera offers a diverse running event with courses for all age groups and performance levels. New is the 22 km cross run with obstacles and 420 meters of elevation gain, passing through the Stadtwald and Hofwiesenpark. In addition to classic distances from 0.8 km to 12 km, there are also walking and handicap routes as well as the popular parent-child run for preschool children. The event is characterized by its special atmosphere with live music and a family-friendly vibe, supported by the city of Gera.

Late registrations are possible on the day of the event until 30 minutes before the start for a late registration fee of 5 EUR. Award ceremonies begin at 12:15 PM, with trophies for the course winners over 22 km, 12 km, and 5 km. The parent-child run is a fun event with medals and certificates for all children. Live music and a specially composed Höhlerfest song create a special atmosphere. Various running routes including obstacle course, parent-child run, live music, obstacle course for participants with disabilities, Stadtwald and Hofwiesenpark as race venues.
