Höhlerfestlauf

The 11th Höhlerfest Run on September 26, 2026, in Gera offers a varied running event with routes for all age groups and ability levels. New this year is the 22 km cross-country run with obstacles and 420 m of elevation gain, which passes through the city forest and Hofwiesenpark. In addition to classic distances from 0.8 km to 12 km, there are walking and para-athlete routes, as well as the popular parent-child run for preschoolers. The event is known for its special atmosphere, with live music and a family-friendly feel, and is supported by the city of Gera.

Late registration is available on the day of the event until 30 minutes before the start, for an additional fee of EUR 5. The award ceremonies begin at 12:15, with trophies for the winners of the 22 km, 12 km and 5 km races. The parent-child run is a fun event, with medals and certificates for all children. Live music and a song composed especially for the Höhlerfest create a special atmosphere.
