Hilpoltsteiner Burgfestlauf

The Hilpoltstein Castle Festival Run is a traditional running event held as part of the Hilpoltstein Castle Festival, taking place annually on the first Sunday in August. The event offers races for various age and performance groups, including children, students, hobby runners, and the main race. A special highlight is the castle hill sprint in the main race, where the fastest female and male runners can earn the title of Castle Hill King or Queen. The event is characterized by a family-friendly atmosphere and an attractive course layout with start and finish in Market Street near the town hall.

Race bibs will be issued on the day of the event from approximately 7:45 AM to 9:00 AM. Safety pins are not provided. Parking areas around Hilpoltstein are signposted; the city center is closed. Shower facilities are available at the outdoor pool, and entry to the city bath on the event day is free upon presentation of the race bib. There is a special classification for the team with the most participants. Certificates are available via email or download. Prizes are only awarded in person. The event includes distances from 0.6 km to 7.6 km. Online registration is possible. The start is at Siegertstraße 2. Participation is focused on families and children.
