Hachenburger Löwenlauf

The Hachenburg Löwenlauf is a long-standing race with a family-friendly atmosphere, taking place on October 17, 2026, in Hachenburg. The event offers various distances, including a half marathon, a 10.5 km race, a 6.3 km fun run/team race, and children’s races. The courses pass through the varied landscapes of the Westerwald, with challenging climbs and wonderful views. Since 1989, proceeds from the race have been donated to social projects, giving the event special social significance.

Electronic timing without a chip; certificates for all finishers; prizes for category winners; special prize for the largest team in the team race. Late registration is available on October 16 from 17:00 and on race day from 09:00. Refreshments including electrolyte drinks, water, tea, cola, and fruit are available on the course and at the finish. Changing rooms and showers are available at the Rundsporthalle. Distances include a half marathon, 10.5 km, a 6.3 km team and fun run, and children’s races. The start and finish area is at Lohmühle, Hachenburg.
