Grafschaftslauf

The Grafschaft Run connects the historic towns of Rietberg, Verl and Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, offering runners a varied course rich in history and atmosphere. The race starts at Gut Rietberg, passing historic buildings and running through the town centre before continuing along the Ems to the garden show grounds. The route passes through atmospheric locations, with several relay handover points, and finishes in the Holter Forest at Jagdschloss zur Holte, which provides an impressive backdrop for the finish. The race is characterised by varied country trails, enthusiastic spectators and a special blend of sport and regional history.

The relay is organised as a three-person team over 28.5 km, with two handover points in Westerwiehe and Kaunitz. The route passes through historic town centres, runs along the Ems and through the garden show park, and finishes at the castle in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock. A 10 km run and walking events are also available. The event places emphasis on an atmospheric experience, with several spectator points and musical accompaniment.
