Graal-Müritzer Schneckenlauf

The Graal-Müritz Schneckenlauf is a long-standing running event held annually at the Graal-Müritz Forest Stadium. Runners and walkers of all ages can choose from several distances, including a Bambini race, 2 km, 5 km and 10 km. The event is known for its friendly atmosphere, good organization, and awards for the strongest classes and best teams. The Streuselschnecken pastries served after the finish are especially popular.

Start times: 10:00 a.m. Bambini race, 10:30 a.m. 2 km run, 11:00 a.m. 5 km and 10 km runs. Walkers start 5 minutes after the runners. Training for children takes place on Wednesdays from 4:30–6:00 p.m. in the sports hall at Ostseegrundschule. Traditional awards are given to the strongest class and best team. Streuselschnecken pastries are a popular post-race treat. The race takes place at the Forest Stadium. Advance registration is available, with categories for children and adults as well as team and class competitions.
