Garbenteicher Volkslauf

The Garbenteich Volkslauf, organized by Sportverein 1928 Garbenteich e.V., is a traditional race in Pohlheim known as a good preparatory course for the Frankfurt Marathon. The course has been optimized for safety, so it no longer crosses any federal highways or railway lines. There are seven refreshment stations offering water, cola and tea, and participants can look forward to excellent refreshments after the race. Race numbers can be collected on the event day from 08:00 or the day before at the Garbenteich Sports and Cultural Hall.

Race numbers and timing transponders can be collected on the event day from 08:00 or the day before between 16:00 and 17:00. Late entries are possible on the event day until the start of the race for an additional fee of EUR 5. Changes to another distance are free of charge up to two days before the race. The course is marked and checked several times before the start. The race takes place on 13 September 2026, starting behind the Garbenteich Sports and Cultural Hall. Club membership is not required, and the event is ideal for marathon preparation.
