Garbenteicher Volkslauf

The Garbenteicher Volkslauf, organized by the Sports Club 1928 Garbenteich e.V., is a traditional race in Pohlheim, known as a good preparatory course for the Frankfurt Marathon. The route has been safety-optimized so that no federal roads or railway tracks need to be crossed. There are a total of seven refreshment stations with water, cola, and tea, and after the race, participants can enjoy excellent catering. The bib number distribution takes place on the day of the event from 08:00 or the day before at the Sports and Culture Hall Garbenteich.

Bib numbers and transponders can be collected on the day of the event from 08:00 or the day before between 16:00 and 17:00. Late registrations are possible on the event day until race start for an additional fee of 5 EUR. Changes to other distances are free of charge up to two days before the race. The route is marked and checked multiple times before the start. The race takes place on September 13, 2026, starting behind the Sports and Culture Hall Garbenteich. There is no club affiliation requirement, and the event is ideal for marathon preparation.
