Race description
The SaarLANDlauf is a friendship run around Saarland, held in 20 stages along the Saarland circular hiking trail with a total distance of approximately 400 kilometers. The runs are guided friendship runs organized by local sponsors and are aimed at experienced runners who can comfortably complete a half marathon. The goal is to strengthen the community of Saarland runners and running clubs and to explore the most beautiful corners of Saarland together. Participation is free of charge, but a small donation is gladly appreciated.

Additional information
The runs are not competitions but friendship runs. There are no running guides or markings; instead, GPS data of the routes are provided. Participants explore the mystical swampy Rötelsteinpfad region, with scenic views of the Nahe. The event is part of a multi-day, regionally focused running event with several stages and route options.
