Fehmarn Marathon

The Fehmarn Marathon takes place annually on the island of Fehmarn and offers runners a varied course through the eastern part of the island. The main races follow roads, dike paths and uneven dirt tracks, providing a diverse running experience. The event starts on 5 September 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at the sports field at Inselschule in Fehmarn. In addition to the marathon, there are other races with award ceremonies, and all participants receive an official marathon shirt. Timing is done with a foot chip attached to the running shoe, and the event takes place in all weather conditions.

Bib pickup is available the day before the event from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on the day of the event from 8:00 a.m. Award ceremonies take place at staggered times after the races. Timing is done with a foot chip, which must be returned after the race; a €15 fee applies if it is lost. The event ends at approximately 3:15 p.m. with the arrival of the bicycle escort marking the end of the course. Parking is recommended, with the start area within walking distance. Late entries are possible up to 30 minutes before the respective race. Shirts tend to run small, so larger sizes are recommended. The event takes place in all weather conditions; online registration is available, including running shirts and various categories.
