Race description
The Fehmarn Marathon takes place annually on the island of Fehmarn and offers runners a varied course through the eastern part of the island. The main races lead over roads, dike paths, and uneven field paths, providing a diverse running experience. The event begins on September 5, 2026, at 9:30 AM at the sports field at the island school in Fehmarn. In addition to the marathon, there are other races with award ceremonies, and all participants receive an official marathon shirt. Timing is done with a foot chip attached to the running shoe, and the event takes place in all weather conditions.

Additional information
Number bib distribution on the day before from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on the event day from 8:00 AM. Award ceremonies are held sequentially after the races. Timing is done with a foot chip to be returned after the race; a fee of €15 is charged for loss. The event ends around 3:15 PM with the arrival of the final support cyclist. Parking recommendations with walking distance to the start area are available. Late registrations are possible up to 30 minutes before each race. The shirts tend to run small; larger sizes are recommended. The event takes place in all weather conditions, online registration is possible, including race shirts and various categories.
