Elsterlauf

The Elsterlauf in Bad Liebenwerda is a traditional running and walking event, taking place for the 46th time on May 31, 2026. The event offers a variety of distances, including a marathon, half marathon, several walking and hiking routes, and children’s races. The course runs through the spa town of Bad Liebenwerda, with a family-friendly atmosphere and classifications for individual participants, teams, and companies. All participants receive a finisher’s medal and certificate, and awards are presented by age group. The event is organised by SG Medizin Bad Liebenwerda and Lauf- und Walkingverein 05 Bad Liebenwerda e.V.

Late registration is available on May 30, 2026, from 12:00 to 15:00, and on May 31, 2026, from 07:00 to 09:30. Changing rooms and showers are available at the Bad Liebenwerda primary school centre; baggage storage is available from 7:00 to 14:00. The finish closes for all distances at 13:15. There is a company and club classification, with teams of three participants. Cyclists and hikers start without timing or classification. All participants receive a finisher’s medal and certificate.
