Elmshorner Stadtlauf

The Elmshorn City Run is a long-standing running event for the whole family in Elmshorn. The officially measured 5 km loop runs mainly on paved roads through the city centre. Alongside the main 5 km and 10 km races, children’s races over 600 m and 1.5 km are also offered. The event is also the SHLV State Championships and offers a lively atmosphere, with refreshments and a supporting programme at Rathausplatz.

The 10 km race starts at 9:30 a.m.; the 5 km races start between 11:15 and 11:20 a.m.; the children’s races start between 11:20 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Late entries are also possible on the day of the event. The event is a fundraising event for the renovation of the Nikolaikirche church tower. Refreshments including sausage, cake and drinks are available at Rathausplatz. A temporary no-parking restriction applies at the railway underpass on race day. The race routes run on paved roads through the city centre; training sessions are offered before the event; registration is available until shortly before the event; medals are awarded to children.
